Tomorrow / today is the Solemnity of Jesus Christ, the Universal King. In the morning, Masses will be as usual. In the evening, at four locations mentioned below, there will be Holy Hour and then procession to the Church followed by Sermon and solemn Benediction. The four locations are :
Bhagat Singh Chapel 4.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
BEST Chapel 4.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Azad Maidan 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Bangur Nagar 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
During the procession, kindly follow the instructions of the Ushers, walk prayerfully in twos, either singing hymns or praying the rosary and avoid traffic jams. After the services there will be Mass at 6.30 p.m. on the ground.
The Bombay Catholic Sabha will put up “Help Desk” in the room next to the Parish Office on Saturday, 25th November after the 7.00 p.m. and on Sunday, 26th November from 8.00 a.m. to 12 noon to facilitate registration of Graduate Voters.
Friday, 1st December is the First Friday of the month. Holy half hour in Tamil will begin at 5.30 p.m. followed by Konkani at 6.00 p.m. and English at 6.30 p.m.
PPC meeting will be held on Saturday, 2nd December after the evening Mass in the Parish Hall.
There will be a meeting on Sunday, 3rd December after the 9.00 a.m. Mass for submission of Parish Feast expenses.
Lectors will meet on Tuesday, 5th December after the evening Mass in the Church.
Members of Family Cell will meet on Saturday, 9th December after the evening Mass in the Parish Hall.
Mass Diary for the year 2018 has arrived. Mass intentions for the period January to June 2018 will be accepted in the Parish Office from Monday, 4th December 2017. In order to give equal opportunity to all the parishioners, initially only 3 intentions per family will be accepted. Evening Mass, except Tuesday, can be booked only one month in advance. Preference will be given for First Death Anniversary and Month’s Mind and if available for others.
Those who would like to subscribe for the Examiner copy for the year 2018 are requested to register their names at the Parish Office with payment of Rs. 450.00 latest by 10th December 2017.
Since donation bags for the “World Day of the Poor” are still coming, the last date has been extended till 3rd December.
The Family Cell of St. John Bosco Church, Borivli (West) is organizing a program called “LILAC” on Sunday, 3rd December from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. for all eligible singles of marriageable age. For details please the Notice Board.
The Daughters of the Heart of Mary (Nirmala Niketan Sisters) are organizing a day of Recollection for women on Sunday, 17th December at St. Thresa High School Hall, Charni Road (East). For details, please see the Notice Board.
