FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT

Sunday Notices 2nd December 2018

  1. (Only for Sat) Parish Pastoral Council meeting will be held this evening after the Mass in the Parish Hall.

  2. Pre-Baptism catechesis for couples expecting their child will be held on 9th and 16th December from 5.00 p.m. onwards. Kindly register at the Parish Office latest by Thursday, 6th December.

  3. Mass Diary for the year 2019 has arrived. Mass intentions for the period January to June 2019 will be accepted in the Parish Office from Monday, 3rd December 2018. In order to give equal opportunity to all the parishioners, initially only 3 intentions per family will be accepted. Evening Mass, except Tuesday, can be booked only one month in advance. Preference will be given for First Death Anniversary and Month’s Mind and if available for others.

  4. Those who would like to subscribe for the Examiner copy for the year 2019 are requested to register their names at the Parish Office with payment of Rs. 750.00 latest by 16th December 2018.

  5. Confessions in preparation for Christmas will be heard on 14th and 15th December from 6.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

  6. The Rosarian Youth is organizing the following events:

  • Treasure Hunt for the Youth on Sunday, 16th December from 11.00 a.m. onwards. Youth can register in groups of five by paying registration fees of Rs.50.00 per group. Kindly contact Nathan on 7400320605 or Carol on 9892529780.

  • Christmas Dhamaka, an evening of games and dance for the Youth on Sunday, 16th December after the evening Mass. Registration Rs.100.00 per person. Kindly contact Nathan on 7400320605 or Carol on 9892529780

  • An evening of Carol singing in any language open for all the Parishioners on Friday, 21st December after the evening Mass in the Church. Participants will have to register in groups of four or more at the Parish Office. No registration charges.

  1. Little Sisters of the Poor from Andheri will be in our Parish on 8th & 9th December to make an outdoor collection for reconstruction of their Home for the Aged.

  2. We have received envelopes from Centre for Social Action towards the Advent Campaign against Hunger and Disease. These envelopes are kept at the entrance of the Church. You can donate online or through cheques drawn in favour of “Centre for Social Action”. Donations made to this cause are eligible for exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax. Envelopes with cheques can be handed over at the Parish Office. For further details, please see the Notice Board.

  3. St. Blase Church, Amboli is staging an Advent Concert “All Things New” by Open Secret on Saturday, 15th December from 7.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. Passes will be available at the entrance of St. Blaise School prior to the event.

  4. We would like to bring to the notice of the Parishioners that the Blessed Sacrament chapel will remain open till 10.00 p.m.
