25th Sunday of the Year Sunday Notices 22nd September 2019
Rosary will be prayed on Saturday, 28th September after the evening Mass on the ground floor of the school building. All are requested to assemble there. It will be led by the communities of Corner 2. This will be followed by a game of housie and refreshments on sale. This being the last rosary before we celebrate the feast, we urge parishioners to come in large numbers.
Domestic Workers will meet on Friday, 27th September at 5.00 p.m. in the room next to the Parish Office.
Deanery Youth Day will be celebrated in our Parish on Sunday, 29th September on the ground floor of the school building from 6.00 p.m. to 9.45 p.m. Registration can be done tomorrow / today after the evening Mass at the desk outside.
Steering Committee meeting will be held on Sunday, 29th September at 4.30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. This is a very important meeting and hence all the Community Coordinators are requested to attend.
On Thursday, 3rd October, there will be Mass in Tamil at 6.00 p.m. followed by Flag Hoisting in preparation of the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary and then Mass in English at 7.00 p.m. Parishioners are requested to come in large numbers.
Novena to our Patroness, Our Lady of the Rosary will begin from Friday, 4th October. Novena Mass in English will be at 7.00 p.m. and in Tamil at 8.00 p.m. Novena themes are displayed on the Notice Board. Concerned communities are requested to prepare the liturgy accordingly.
To commemorate the 150th year of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, The Bombay Catholic Sabha unit of our parish is organising a “Peace March” on Wednesday, 2nd October from Bangur Nagar signal to Hotel Ratna at 11.00 a.m. Those interested can join them.
Snehalaya Service Centre is organising “Retrouvaille” weekend from 1st to 3rd November at Sarvodaya, St. Pius X College Campus, Goregaon (East). Couples who want to empower their marriages are urged to attend. For details please see the Notice Board.
Following are the other updates of Golden Jubilee celebration:
Every Community will have to design their Community Flag based on the set specifications, details of which will be provided on Sunday, 29th September during the Steering Committee meeting.
Tellegames will be held on Sunday, 20th October. PPC members and Community Coordinators can collect the registration forms from the Parish Office and give the same to families in their community. Registration charges Rs.20.00 per person. Only registered members will be allowed to participate.
Fancy Dress competition and Talent Contest will be held on 25th & 26th October. Elimination rounds which were announced earlier have been cancelled. The contestants will have to perform directly on the final day.
On 27th October we will have Parish Orchestra & DJ night. We have many talented people in our parish. All those who know to play musical instruments and would like to be part of this orchestra can give their names at the parish office.
Since all these are community events, we urge all the families in the communities to take part.
